Photoshop Assignment - CD Case Front

Recently we began a Photoshop Assignment involving us making a fictional CD, inside and out.  This is the front cover for my project, the band I'm using is called "The Strikes" possibly related to "The Strokes" (Duh...), and the album is called "Scandal".  I used a sky image for the background and then applied the "neon glow" filter, with a yellow colour.  I then cropped it and inserted the text.  i played with the text to get this result, the two filters used were "sumi-e" and "ink outlines".  This particular album cover is reminescent of the album cover for Royksopp's Melody A.M. a good band and a good album.  The rest of the artwork for the album should follow nicely.

I really like this one because it has a grunge feel, regardless of what the text itself says and i got to use a spray paint textures pack that I had been waiting to use for a while.






Not only is the simple word "moist" suggestive in the right company, but the effects are nice too, long and drawn out and repetitive but nice nevertheless.

I chose this one because, everyone loves to see those who are hounded by the liberal media, hounded more.  And really the only person who wouldn't agree with this is maybe Dubyah himself, Dick Cheney but not George Bush Senior.  Thats for sure.








This one I chose because most people at one point had at least heard of everyones favourite Italian Plumber, and his A#$hole cousin Wario.
